Information We Collect
User Submitted Information
Depending on how you use the Websites, you may provide us with different types of personal information.
When taking our proprietary online survey to assess your thinking style, you do not have to provide us with any personal information. When opening an account on the Websites, you are required to provide us with your email address and a user-chosen password. Once you have an account, you may choose to provide us with additional personally identifiable information including your full name, screen name, physical or mailing address, phone number, various demographic information, credit/debit card or bank information in order for us to fulfill services you have requested voluntarily.
Since the nature of the Websites is to map the world of thinking, you may also voluntarily choose to provide us with additional various demographic information as you interact with the Websites. To protect your individual identity, we do not disclose demographic information on a per-user basis.
We separate your personal and account information from all your survey responses and your other demographic informations. All survey responses and demographic information are shared by you voluntarily, and will be publicly displayed in aggregate form only. This means, for example, that the results from a group of people who responded to a particular survey item might be displayed alongside a list of the occupations of the respondents, although in no way will any individual respondent's occupation be linked to their individual response.
Passive Collection of Information
When you visit the Websites, we automatically collect browser information and your apparent internet protocol (“IP”) address of your internet service provider (“ISP”) and/or your computer, if your computer has an IP address assigned directly to it. This information is collected for all Websites visitors and is stored in our web logs.
The Websites do not use “cookies” or similar technology to track site use. Instead, we use session variables to collect information about your use of the Websites. We store this information in the database maintained on our servers. We do not make the database available to third parties.
By visiting or using the Websites, you are consenting to have your personal information transferred to and processed in the United States.
How We Use Information
We use the personal information you voluntarily share with us to offer the various MindTime services on the Websites. We may occasionally use your email address to send you notifications regarding new services offered on the Websites.
User privacy is a core value of MindTime. That is why we take various steps to protect your personal identity when you interact on our Websites. For example, we store your email address in encrypted form and separate from any voluntarily shared demographic information or information about your website usage.
We use the passively collected information to diagnose problems with our servers and to maintain the quality of our servers, as well as to improve the content, features, and services available on the Websites.
We do not (1) run third party banner ads, pop ups, pop unders, or any other kind of third party commercial ads; (2) share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes; (3) engage in cross-marketing or link-referral programs with other sites; or (4) send you unsolicited third party communications for marketing purposes.
We or our users may provide links to third party websites, which may have different privacy practices. We may also share your personal information with third parties if it is necessary to deliver specific services to you or MindTime. We are not responsible for, nor do we have any control over, the privacy policies, practices or contents of those third party websites, and encourage all users to read the privacy policies of each and every website visited.
When We May Disclose Information
In the event of a change in ownership, or a merger with, acquisition by, or sale of assets to another entity, we reserve the right to transfer all of MindTime's user information, including e-mail addresses, to a separate entity. We will notify users (by means of a posting on the Websites or by e-mail, whichever MindTime chooses at its own discretion) of such a transfer. Should you not wish to migrate your account to the new owner, you must deactivate the account upon notification of the transfer.
Our Commitment To Data Security
We use industry standard security measures to protect the information under our control against risks of loss, unauthorized access, destruction, misuse, modification, or inadvertent or improper disclosures of information. These risks, however, cannot be completely eliminated and we therefore cannot guarantee complete security.
